Terms of Service
Version: 2026-10-11 – These terms apply to the use of the free gaming platform surakarta.eu.
1. Scope, provider, conclusion of contract
The platform is operated by the provider identified in the Legal Notice (see /impressum). Use is free of charge. An agreement on the gratuitous use is concluded by registering; by ticking the checkbox during registration, the user confirms that they have taken note of these terms and the privacy policy (Section 305(2) BGB).
2. Account
- Registration requires a minimum age of 16 years.
- Access credentials must be kept secret; the user is liable for culpable disclosure only in accordance with statutory provisions. Multiple accounts used to manipulate ratings are prohibited.
- The user may delete their account at any time (account settings).
3. Code of conduct
In particular, the following are prohibited:
- Unlawful, insulting, threatening, discriminatory, pornographic or harmful content (e.g. in chat or profile);
- Manipulation of gameplay: use of bots or scripts in online games against humans, exploitation of program errors, rating manipulation (every game is verified server-side for rule compliance);
- Interference with the platform technology (e.g. hacking, DoS attacks, mass automated requests);
- Infringement of third-party rights (e.g. personality, copyright or trademark rights).
In the event of violations, we may take proportionate measures: warning, temporary suspension, and permanent suspension of the account in the case of serious or repeated violations. Before a permanent suspension, we provide an opportunity to comment where this is reasonable. Suspensions may be lifted if the grounds no longer apply. Violations can be reported via the reporting function.
4. User content
The user warrants that they hold the rights to the content they post (e.g. chat messages, profile details). They grant us the simple right, limited to the provision of the service, to store and display this content. The user indemnifies us against third-party claims arising from content they posted, insofar as they are responsible for such claims.
5. Liability
For gratuitous services we are liable only for intent and gross negligence insofar as permitted by law; liability for injury to life, body or health and under mandatory statutory provisions remains unaffected.
6. Changes to the terms
We may amend these terms for legitimate reasons (e.g. changes in law or further development of the service). We will inform users of amendments by e-mail or by a clearly visible notice on the platform at least six weeks before the proposed effective date. If the user does not object within six weeks of receiving the amendment notice, the amended terms are deemed accepted; the notice will separately draw attention to the objection period, the right to object and the possibility of deleting the account free of charge at any time. In the event of objection, the contract continues under the previous terms; both parties then have a special right of termination with a reasonable notice period.
7. Governing law and consumer protection
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For consumers, mandatory protective provisions of the state of their habitual residence remain unaffected. We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Section 36 VSBG, Germany).
